My 4th generation fingerprick HIV test was negative at 28 days.
I done the test today. I had to use 3 fingerpricks and milk 3 holes in two fingers to get enough blood into the bottle. It took five minutes of milking to get it full.
How much blood is required in order to test? A drop? How do they test?
NHS call centre advisor informed me that it is the 4th gen duo test. Still 99% conclusive at 28 days? I am worried because it is not a normal blood test, just a finger prick of blood to post back to lab for testing.
Am not real familiar with what is and what isn't available in the UK, but I found a link to the NHT that will hopefully offer you some information.
