Going crazy waiting

Hi Doctor,

I am a caucasian female in my mid twenties. I almost always use condoms, but about three months ago, I had unprotected sex with a friend. This was about 4 or 5 incidents and we discussed testing and STDs and he said he just been tested that month and was clean. I was clean too, but I went in yesterday for the usual battery of tests just to be sure. I don't think this guy would lie to me about his health, but I'm so paranoid I'm second guessing it now. This guy is also caucasian, about my age. My test results will be in next Tuesday but I am going absolutely nuts waiting. Thank you!

Thank you for your response. I know all the statistics and I am aware that this disease does not discriminate. Usually I am VERY careful, but this person is someone I have known for years and it was a stupid mistake. It's been three months so my test will be conclusive and most likely negative.

Monogamy certainly is the best policy! Thank you again.

Hi ,
I am nt a docter . But this i thnk would be of help to u.
Unprotected sex is a risk, bt also dsnt mean every other guy has aids Aids doesn't discriminate on race bt also its true that Blacks have a higher incidence bt thats nt enough whites are also victim of aids , so U shld test at 3 months for a conclusive result.

ALL SAID AND DONE< MONOGAMY is ur best bet , PLS consider marraige as this will reduce the risk of unknown history of variouos partners , Sex with stranger is foreever a risk.
