HIV + pedicure...

Hello,
I have a question that may seem a bit silly, but I am sure I am not the only one to wonder.
I have gone to get a pedicure yesterday and while cutting my cuticles, the manicurist also cut my skin which bled quite a lot. I tried to ask her if the instruments where sterilised, but her knowledge of english was very limited and therefore I didn't get any answer.

So my question is: any chance of getting HIV or hepatitis C through a pedicure?
Is an anti-retroviral prophylaxis indicated in this case or is it just over the top???

Thank you so very much

Zero risk because hiv is unable to reproduce outside its living host it becomes inactive and therefore unable to infect. The virus becomes inactive as soon as it comes into contact with the air.Your safe and don,t require any testing let alone nPEP.
