your p1= 1/1000 based on your e
t= 10 week clear ,p2= 10/100 ,
Net, p= 1/10000
s has nothing to do with p.
Here p=probability of infection, t= test report,e= exposure and s= symptom.
Here chances is 1 in 10K..You are ok
Can i get a insight on Fatigue related to HIV and meanwhile i tested negative after 10 weeks of exposure? Shall I consider it conclusive?
Thanks!!! I am not able to concentrate on by job due to anxiety!!!! What to do?Any Suggestions?
RELAX.
You're working yourself up into a frenzy...get busy with life and stop thinking about HIV, it's only making your anxiety worse.
ANY negative test result along the way is very reassuring. Your test result significantly decreases the odds that you will test +. Most people (even sex workers) do NOT have HIV. It's also rare to get HIV from a one time exposure, and female to male transmission is even more difficult. Add those factors to the fact that your exposure was brief, it's HIGHLY unlikely you will test +.
Symptoms are a terrible indicator of acute HIV infection, and the "symptoms" you mentioned are not at all consistent with true ARS (when it happens).
NO test is conclusive until three months, don't start testing excessively, as it only will fuel your anxiety and increase the likelihood of getting a false +...talk about anxiety?
We don't discuss signs or symptoms on this forum.

I am not able to hold the anxiety and i dunn know i can hold it for further 2 months. Can i have a PCR RNA Test now to get conclusive result.
Thanks in Advance
Calm down, most HIV tests done at 6 weeks post--exposure are very accurate but 3 months post--exposure is when you can receive a conclusive result.Your symptoms don't diagnose the virus.
Hi Teak,
Thanks for the reply. I had unprotetected vaginal intercourse with a postitute in India. She was not having any sores and my intercourse was about of 5-7 mins. I got tested negative exactly after 5 weeks of exposure. I had no general ARS symptoms. But i had a running nose after 4 weeks and after that i had a mild pain in my left ampit which has now travelled to right armpit. And at last now i am having Urinary tract infection after almost 6 weeks of exposure. I have not able to hold the anxiety. What are the chances of me being HIV positive. I took HIV 1 & 2 Elisa test. Is there any test which can detect the virus exactly after 6 weeks. ? Plese reply soon as i have getting almost fainted after seeing these symptoms.
Thanks in Advance,
Hirendra
Can i have some expert comments???I dont want to be hiv +?
I tested negative but now i am having pain in right armpit and burning sensaation while urinating....Please reply as i am feeling suicidal?????
I'm no expert!!! But everyone on this site says three months is conclusive. Do I personally believe three months is conclusive, no. But I'm not an expert. Just take one day at a time and test at three and six months. That's my advice. But again I'm new to this forum and am not an expert.
