HIV transmission, condom broke, gonorrhea

Hi All,
Continued from http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/2029236

Just wanted to give my update . For some reason Dr. H. H. ended my thread on HIV Prevention Expert forum.
I was and am under an ID specialist. My PCP has little or no knowledge on HIV, so as per Dr. HH suggestion I went to an ID/HIV specialist. Due to anxiety , we always seek double opinion. My doctor has provided me his opinion but I was/am posting same concerns on this and POZ forum too. I trust Dr. H.H and all other folks on these forums as an expert , maybe more than my doctor.  Anyway, I would like to thank Dr. H. H. from the bottom of my heart.  Good News! I had an antibody test done ( as prescribed by my Doctor/ID Specialist) at Lapcorp on 1/28/2014 which was after 12 weeks from the completion of PEP, It came as Negative. This gives me a big  relief from mental trauma that I was going through but for some reason my ID specialist has prescribed another test to be done after 24 weeks ( on 4/27/2014) from PEP last dose.

Can I  say myself HIV free considering low risk exposure and a negative result from post 12 weeks test after PEP completion ?

Thank you so much....and God bless you all !!!

Wrong, you can obtain a conclusive negative test result 3 months post your last dose on nPEP.

If you read what the doctor said in your first thread he says taking PEP can make the window period longer and you will maybe be advised to take another at 6 months. If I'm reading what the doctor has said right 12 weeks is a excellent result though may not be viewed as conclusive that's why they've set up a 6 month test.
