I had unprotected oral and vaginal intercourse with a girl I knew from years ago but hadn't seen in ages. While she preformed oral on my she must have scratched the head of my penis with her tooth and it was quite deep. After this we had intercourse and then she gave me oral again. I think this girl has had alot of sexual partners and she doesn't seem like the type of girl who uses protection very often. Thinking back she also had a rash never her vagina which I never thought much about at the time.

A week after this encounter I come down with a 'mystery' illness. I developed a fever with light night sweats and a general feeling of unwellness. This lasted around 2 weeks and since i've had a weird feeling in my lymph node areas. Although I am not aware of any swelling. I've read on aidsmed.com in the seroconversion forum of other peoples symptoms before they were diagonosed and some them sound like mine EXACTLY. I know other things could cause these symptoms but i'm a healthy individual. I rarely ever fall ill. I have never experienced an illness like the one I had after this encounter. The fact that this illness lasted around 2 weeks, sounds like other 'infected' peoples symptoms,  happened a week after the incident and because of the fact that I never really fall ill makes be believe I have been infected.

I have just had a 4-week antibody test done and I am pretty much certain im going to test postive. Even if it comes back negative it won't be very reliable. I just can't think of any other explaintion of what it may be. Nobody around me has been ill or unwell in this time. Basically, I'm going to need a miracle if i'm going to test negative. I have already pretty much accepted that i'm infected. I'm prepared for the worst!

your neg...Look bro, Lymph pain is nothing...My Infection DIsease Doc says HIV lymphs are very very big and it takes months and months for them to go down and they are noticeable, not touchable.

In addition, Lymph only happens if you had HIV for at least 5 - 10 years.

It wont happen when u get infected. This is coming from my ID doc... Sure we are all scared, but don't worry u will not get infected for picking up a club chick..

Anyways, as for HIV don't worry.

The fever my ID doc described as like a living hell...If someone comes down with fever, it is very very very bad fever and it will last for over weeks, most 2 weeks.....

The symptomes u will have are very bad fever, fatigue, high temp, rash on the chest, ear pain, LYMPH enlarged ( in ALL 3 Major Part of ur body ) at the same time, joint pain, muscle aches.

Look dude, I said Lymph in all part, not just ur neck.


Ask ur doc to test u for following:


Human Herpes Virus 6. 8 and Cocosakie virus , and CMV.


Those can cause the lymph you are saying... Kind of like a sharp pain in the neck that comes and goes.

No she wasn't a CSW. Just a girl I met in a club. I heard after the encounter that she has alot of partners, this is what caused me to worry. She also didn't seem like the type of girl who would use protection.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, this feeling in my lymph nodes came about a week after my fever and I just can't stop thinking about it. Maybe the anxity is causing me to feel like this.

The main reason i'm paranoid is due to the timing of this illness and i've never felt like this before. I also struggled to shake it off (usually i can shake of an illness within a couple of days). I get my 4 weeks result on friday. Fingers crossed!

If its not CsW than you are HIV neg.... It rare for non CSW to have HIV..

HIV is possible, you can get it from oral sex with a condom... But lot of it has to do with uck.

Dont trust the symptoms. Anxiety does cause a lot of stuff and I also went through what you are going through now. You will pull through..
Your 4 week will be pretty solid indicator but not reliable.
Get tested after 6 weeks and then 3 months for a conclusive.

I am not sure abt this but in cases of ARS symptoms all come together and then go away together after a certain period of time. Your "supposed weird feeling" in your lymph nodes came after your fever,right? As I said b4 pay no heed to the "symptoms" and get tested.
Keep yourself busy to forget about this like I did.
