HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
I think given the fact that your risk was so miniscule and that you have an extremely reliable result i would take a final test in 3 weeks and then put this completely behind you and start a family like you intended--take care.
You never had an exposure to HIV.
That wouldn't be a problem should I wait 6 months for another hiv test or am I fine with my results at 9.5 weeks
It might be a good idea for both of you to have a full STD screen if you are considering having a baby--all the best.
Hey I'm sorry I had another question
Hey do you guys think it's okay to have sex with my boyfriend we are trying for a baby again we broke up because of this but we are getting back together I haven't done anything since this risky incident I just want to make sure everything with me is okay first
Thank you so much you have saved me from some anxiety you both did alot God bless you both for helping others
Thank you so much teak I follow all of your forums I appreciate the time and your comment God bless you
You never had an exposure to HIV.
Yes,the exposure is very low and the fact that you have a 9.5 week negative under your belt suggests to me that you never contracted HIV from this encounter.
Hey thanks for the quick response I've been in edge after every result do you think my exposure is low ? I'm trying to keep sane
Sorry--typo--penetrating you--that should have read.
You had a risk because he didn't change the condom when penetrating your after had penetrated the other lady. The good news is that all your negative tests strongly indicate that you don't have HIV but you can put this matter to bed in 3 weeks time when you test for a 100% conclusive result--expect another negative result then aswell.
