moving on...please read

this post is really directed to those of you who are extreme worried wells and suffer from ocd.  you know who you are :)

when someone becomes obsessed with having hiv...it becomes all consuming...taking over every aspect of your life.  you wake up and head straight to the internet...you search...you read...obsessing...obsessing.  the last thing you do before going to sleep, is check the internet one more time...obsessing...obsessing.  this "pattern" has now become another part of your ocd...unable to do anything else except think and research about hiv.

when you receive your negative result...i strongly urge you to move on with your life.  continuing to stay on the internet reading about hiv has got to stop.  you have to break the cycle.  i have seen sooooooo many ppl get their negative result...and decide that they want to stay on the forum and "help" others who have gone through the same experience that they have.  listen to me...IT DOESNT WORK THAT WAY.  nine times out of ten...you end up right back in the same place...in your mind...that you were before receiving your negative result.  it is all part of your ocd...the obsessing...the what ifs...the doubts.  you will never put this behind you if you dont break the cycle.  so many times, your obsessive thinking can (and does) drive ppl to a worse place in their life.  not everyone that comes to this site is an extreme worried well and suffering from ocd...although the large majority of you are.

there is a saying that i have posted many, many times on here.  NOTHING CHANGES IF NOTHING CHANGES.  i urge you to step up to the plate and take care of yourself...your mental self.  instead of obsessing about hiv...put that energy and effort into seeking treatment for your ocd.  medhelp also has a forum for ppl with ocd...and another forum for ppl suffering from anxiety.  when you have a conclusive result...there ARE NO inf, ands, or buts about it.  you are conclusively negative.  it is time for you to move on from this forum and post in the "appropriate" forum.

i wish you nothing but good luck in the future...but it is time to move on :)

This is an HIV forum, once it is confirmed that you dont have HIV you need to go elsewhere to find out what is causing your problems.

Symptoms do indeed mean that something can be wrong, but if you have conclusive negative HIV tests then HIV is not causing your problems. It could be from mono, flu, or any other virus out there. Simple enough?

Anxiety does not make a person crazy at all. Ive had anxiety since I was 17, im pretty normal. Once people latch onto the thought of HIV they run with it and it consumes their life and it becomes obsessive. The constant worrying can cause physical symptoms, if you dont know that then you shouldnt be on here trying to make determinations that people that still exhibit symptoms after negative tests must still have HIV because you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.

The tests are designed to detect Human Immunodeficiency Virus and that is what they detect and that only. As for all this other **** you are talking about I am sure you are not light years ahead of the doctors and scientists that are dedicated to HIV and eradicating it.

I did report you, thats probably why your last thread dissapeared also.

11 months of anxiety isnt ****. Ive had it for 8 years, anxiety doesnt always stem from thinking you have a sickness. If you dont like to ehar the truth then by all means go away, nobody is forcing you to be here.

I really do feel for you though, I bet you are very anxiety rideen.

Ok I cede the point, You yourself via the internet has discovered that HIV tests are innaccurate and can not be relied on. Please report your well investigated and groiund breaking findings to the CDC and FDA so they can work on getting me a test that actually works.

seriously if you people really took the time to see the correlation between post then myabe ud realize that there is a possibility for anything. just because its not out there does not mean that its not happening. so because you never seen god or heard of someone seeing him, does that mean you shouldnt believe. all im saying is that people only believe the norm, the expect the usual, the statistics and not the possibilites. in todays society at the rate we are going we are going to see things that we never expected.

Yes I agree with your post, most people that come here are not even at risk to begin with.  And I know that risky situations can traumatize some.  Not to sound too judgmental, but when you test and test negative, if you have even the slightest chance of developing an OCD over this or are already OCD, get your conclusive and move on with your life.  Join a gym, buy yourself something nice, go outside, enjoy life and move forward, forget about this place and dont make the same mistake again.

Quit posting this BS, if you repeadtly test negative out of the window then you are negtaive, period, end of story. If the tests were that jacked up the FDA wouldnt allow them to stay out on the market.

I am actually living in Miami right now (cant wait to move back upstate), and there is no way in hell that for every five people living in Miami one is infected with HIV.  The amount of people living in Miami with HIV,  ranks around 1% of Dade County's population.  Yeah I know the media down here is retarded, but no way in hell is that number so rampant down here.  Miami is also not the city with the highest amount of HIV cases in the US, its up there, but you are incorrect in believing it to be the highest.

Miami-Dade county has a population of apx. 2.4 million and has an infection rate of around 30,000 person which is a far cry from 1 in every 5.

Well for somebody like myself it wasnt easy at first for me to think that I wasnt HIV positive because I live in MIAMI and we have the highest HIV rate in the country. There are stats that say 1 out of every 5 people living here has HIV and thats scary. So when I had my exposure Im thinking whats the chance I DONT have HIV with that type of stat. But I read on this forum and it says that its not easy to catch HIV so I was confused but ,the more you all spoke the more sense you all made to me.I have put that behind me now and have moved on since Ive gotten my negative result and thanks again everybody.
