Sex with escorts

Dear Dr.

Twice in my life I slept with escorts (not prostitutes) and I'm really worried about the HIV risk I was in. They were both over a year ago. Unfortunately both times me and my friends were drinking and decided to each call a girl and go to her. The first was kind of nasty and what worries me about her is that she asked if I wanted to have unprotected sex for more money but I said no and I wore a condom which she had (not Durex or a big brand). The other girl was a different incident months after and although she didnt offer unprotected sex she had a scar on her stomach which made me have thoughts after the incident. So both incidents were protected by using condoms they had and I did not have any symptoms of any other STDS. Im just really worried about the chances I had of getting HIV. I am circumcised if that makes a difference too. I just randomly started remembering these incidents and worrying a lot please help!

Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for your reassuring answer. Can I just ask does the fact that they put the condoms on (meaning they could have put it not the proper way described in the leaflets) affect the chances of protection? Also one of them gave me oral first does that affect it either? I don't recall seeing any breakage in either of the condoms. Thank you again in advance!

Hey,

Condoms do an absolute fine job of protecting one from HIV and I see that you had used your mind and protected yourself both the times however if you like to bury your doubts, I would suggest you to take a simple HIV test that is available out there, talk to your Doctor and take one and the results would bring you closure.

All the best, have a healthy life
