Hi there. This past April I had tested negative for HIV. In August (beginning of) I began having some fairly minor respiratory problems, I saw a doctor at the 10-12 day mark and she said it was Bronchitis and gave me an antibiotic which didn't really help. At around the 14-15 day mark I started noticing when I would do something (like walking up stairs, etc...) I got pretty short of breath. This went on for another 2-21/2 weeks. I am thinking at this 2 week mark is when I got the pneumonia (a doctor confirmed at the hospital that I indeed had pneumonia ). During this ordeal I suffered no other symptoms except for coughing up sputum (which continued for a couple of months after, although very mildly).
Between the period of being tested and the pneumonia I was with a few (maybe five) women in which the risk was me performing oral on them; all intercourse was with a condom and there was no slippage or breakage (to the best of knowledge and I am assuming I would have remembered if there had been).
Does what I had sound like it could have been caused by HIV infection? I have heard that with infection if you show symptoms you show more than one (you show a cluster), it is usually with a fever (which was not present), and whatever symptoms one does get come all in one day and leave all at the same time (my sputum issues did not leave when the pneumonia left).
I am hoping I am just paranoid but I was just wishing to get some opinions.
Thanks everyone.
