Scared, senseless

A little over three weeks ago I had protected sex with a girl i met that evening in Berlin.

A week later I developed a sore throat which lasted no more than two days, then (11 days after) developed diarrhoea which lasted 4 days (during which time i began getting a pain in my groin which my doctor confirmed was a swollen gland) and a tickly cough which is still present though not as severe.

The gland is still up in my groin, though not as painful, and i think i now have one (painful) in the left side of the back of my neck/shoulder.

Despite not having a reason to think the girl was HIV positive, I've no proof she wasn't either.

I'm booked for a blood test on Saturday (4 weeks from possible exposure) and am more nervous than i ever have been. It's ruining my day to day life not knowing and with the prospect of being positive...

I'd really like to know if my symptoms are that of someone newly infected?

I've done some research but a lot of the information is conflicting.

I appreciate any help,

Thanks

Forgot to mention the headaches...

Sorry for the persistence, but could you further your answer a bit more so I understand why they aren't?

Would really put my mind at ease.

Thank you, and sorry once more

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.

isn't there some risk in removing the condom?

Doesn't matter if she was positive or not you had protected sex and didn't have a risk of contracting HIV.
