I have all hiv symptoms.. And scared to get tested

I few months ago I met this guy, we started getting close to one another and eventually started having sex (unprotected). Long story short I told a friend about him, and she quickly informed me that she heard he had something. Of course I was afraid and immediately cut him before anyone found out. I asked him several times if he had anything, and of course he denied it. I didn't know much about hiv/aids. I tested 2 weeks afterwards and of course or came out negative, I didn't realize the steps of testing until I started googling. I first begin to have a rash on my arm about a month later, then the sore throat, night sweats, fever, and last but not least the swollen lymph nodes. Now that I look back he use to always sleep as if he was worried about something in my heart I feel like he knew he had this awful disease and I may unknowingly have it as well.. I'm only 23 no kids, but a beautiful family and friends I wouldn't want them to lose me to this deadly disease:(

It's not realistic to say you will never have sex again,we are only human and all have desires, you can't be charged if you pass the virus onto someone unless there is proof you passed it on with intent to infect.Anyway--like you have been advised--3 months will be conclusive,my guess is that you will be negative.

Sex is the last thing on my mind, I will never have sex with anyone knowing there is a possibility that I may have it. It may have happened to me REM? I would never do such a thing

That would be the correct test. Maybe this will help, If you don't test and you are infected and you pass it to someone else then you are liable to sit behind bars for years.

ok so you can test now. Its better to know as early as you can. An early diagnose though is precious for hiv.

Ok,
just keep in mind that the window period for a simple hiv test is 3 months after your last exposure

Getting tested is your choice to make. An early diagnose though is precious for hiv.

Don't waste your time on a DUO test, just take an antibody test You are beyond the 4 week shut off on the antigen part of the test.

better to know you don't have hiv than it is to go around wondering if you do

Hi,
the only way to be aware of your status is by testing. You can take an hiv duo test 4 weeks after your last exposure and confirm the result if negative 3 months after the exposure.
If duo test is not available in your country you can take a simple hiv test 8 weeks after your last exposure and confirm the result 3 months after this exposure.
One more thing : Hiv is no longer a deadly disease. If someone follows his doctor's directions he can expect to live a long healthy life
