Immunosuppressants and HIV

Hi, I just have a question about taking Immunosupressants and their affect on HIV testing.

I have an autoimmune disease of the liver called primary sclerosing cholangitis, I also have ulcerative colitis. I was taking Immuran 50mg/day back in november up until december. I had a possible exposure to HIV in the first week of november 2010. Also a possible exposure in 2009.

I was wondering if these would effect the result on a antibody test? I got a rapid finger prick test done at 9 weeks. Results were non-reactive. I'm also waiting on the results of a DNA PCR test. Would immunosuppressants or an autoimmune disease effect either the DNA PCR test or the antibody test?

But the antibody test should be unaffected by the immunosupressants?

The answer to your questions are NO. PCR-DNA tests are not diagnostic tests.
