No it does not have any effect.
Ok, last follow up question I swear! Does a shot to kill warts (like the ones you get on your hands or feet) count as an anti-viral medication?
I had two treatments that would have fallen within the seroconversion window.
I'm pretty sure this is different but I understand warts to also be a virus.
1) Because the website is not up to date and 6 months only applies to those as you have stated.
2) All labs are regulated
3) After you see a therapist to help you work on your guilt and anxiety

Ok, so the last 24 hours has been a roller coaster. I got back my 3 month negative results yesterday morning and was so happy i started crying. However, after a few hours i started to think about whether 3 months was enough because of the CDC disclaimer for up to 6 months. I came to this board yesterday and was re-assured about the 3 months and went to bed relaxed and peaceful for the first time in a LONG TIME.
Then it happened, I woke up after only a few hours of sleep, again paranoid about my status. I understand 3 months is conclusive, but have two questions that would really help me.
1) Why does the CDC refer to greater than 3 months as a 'minor' possibility? Is this only for those on anti-virals, anti-rejection meds or needle users? Or is there ever a time the general population has a potential to fall into a 3+ month window?
2) Are all testing centers created equally? Mine was done through ProLabs, is that a reputable testing location? Seems like it should be...
3) For those who have been through this and come back negative; at what point does life go back to normal? I wonder if i will ever go to the doctor with confidence (general checkup) and not worry or worse that my wife one day goes in for a pregnancy test and discovers this...
3 months is the current guideline..
no need further testing..
you are CONCLUSIVELY negative
