Is it possible to be misdiagonsed?

So i wasnt born with hiv but i got it 7 years later from birth, but at the same time I got diagnosed with lupus sle. I was trying to find out how is it possible for me to go undiagnosed for 7 years and only produce hiv cell when my lupus flared up. Could it be a misdiagnose I know this is a long shot from here but I have no signs of hiv and my doctor says she only see my hiv when my lupus flares, could it be the lupus mimicing hiv, if so how do I go about testing this theory. Plus I can go without hiv medication for months and still be undetectable? Is this possible, my doctor just says im lucky. -thanks

I'm sorry you did not get HIV 7 years later after birth. Lupus is known to cause false positives.

You do a HIV antibody test for HIV 1/2.I also recommend you to do DNA PCR for HIV1/2.If test results comeback as negative then you do not have HIV.However what was your exposure for HIV?

I think you need a HIV test at a point when your lupus isnt flaring. If thats negative then you dont have HIV.
