Thank you for your reassurance. I appreciate it.
As you were advised, you had no risk - bleeding gums or not. Re: testing for legitimate risks, which you did not have, you've read advice from Drs. Hook and Handsfield. No one here will disagree with two of the nation's top experts in the field.
You had no risk. There is no HIV test on the market that will detect anything when you've never been exposed to HIV in the first place. You can test whenever you want but the test is looking for something that you don't have so you're wasting time, money, resources, etc. There's nothing for the test to find. You had no risk.
Thank you for your reply. I've been to many clinics and after i tell them my story they see no reason to test me because the risk is extremely low. Just knowing me I suffer from severe anxiety and clinics here in Canada are still going by the 3 month guideline. Even though most HIV experts say 4 weeks is definitive with a combo test. So even if I did have a risk my test at nearly 27 and 5 hours to 28 days would be conclusive?
You had no risk. Sexually, HIV can only infect an adult through unprotected penetrative anal/vaginal sex. Nothing you did put you at risk. No risk means no tests are needed. Any test you take anytime will be conclusive because you had no risk and didn't need a test in the first place.
