Possible Ars symptoms/possible exposure.

Exactly a month ago tomorrow (29th) I had sex with this guy I didn't know very well. We used a condom. It wasn't until he ejaculated that I realized he had taken off the condom. I didn't think too much of it because I asked him if he was clean and he said yea. 3 weeks later I caught a cold that lasted two days and dissappeared. 2 days after that I felt lightheaded. When I woke up I felt very sick. I had a sore throat and felt like I was hot and sweaty but I wasnt sweating. I felt like that for two days. Sore throat was way worse waking up in the morning.  I felt something was wrong and thats how I stumbled against hiv ars symptoms. I developed a cough 4 days into it. Today is day 7. It is a dry cough. I never had mucus. And I feel like my sore throat is almost gone. I just feel a little tired and hot. Im very scared I contracted hiv. He said he got tested but I cannot be sure. I took a home test at about 3 days before the 4 week mark. Am I at risk?  I went to the doctor but she thinks im just sick. I got a complete physical with blood and urine. I asked her to test for hiv. Any opinions would be great.

No problem. Most of the symtoms are felt in mind due to anxiety. Even if there is no pain, you will force yourself to feel the pain or if theres is a pimple, your mind will start assuming it as HIV rash. Only clinical tests can confirm HIV infection :). So dont worry everything would be fine, dont search for symtoms in your body. Just get tested after 4 weeks of exposure (4th gen test)

Thanks !!
Yea it wasn't a cool move at all. I hope everything turns out okay. Do my symptom look at all like possible ars? I woke up today with pain in between my eyebrows like a sinus infection. I just hope it's all a coincidence.

Hi,

No need to worry. Get your self tested once you complete 4 weeks (4th gen test. Oral swab tests like Ora quick are usually done 2 times that is after 3rd week and the second to confirm after 90 days. Its better you get your blood tested after 4 weeks and you should be fine with the results. Its just sick to know that the guy removed the condom without your knowledge.

Regards,
Nikhil
