rapid and confirmative....for teak... and others...

hey teak .. i have a question base on your answer to rainbow_ike...

when i went to get my HIV test at a local health dept i had the rapid which count for one. then im waiting for the other test that was send to the lab. OK now are these two test count for one or two..?

reason why i ask is because you answer rainbow_ike that they don't give two test unless is a positive one then a confirmative. can you explain ?

i don't know i was told i received the rapid result right then in there in 30 min which were neg then i will have to go online or call and get the other results for the HIV plus std and syphilis. if im not mistaken i was given ah1 test as well unless that's another name for the rapid.. i might had spelled wrong but its something like that.. my last sexual contact was around the week of June 20_26 and around July 20 i had a rapid.

Have no idea why you would be given two tests. The testing guidelines are as follows.
For a conclusive test you test 3 months post exposure.
Negative result =negative no further testing
Positive result is followed up with another antibody test if that test is positive  a confirnative test is ran to confirm the positive result.
