3rd generation tests both HIV1 and 2.
Teak, Did U mean any HIV test which is detecting HIV-1 and HIV-2, is a third generation test??
and 2nd generation tests only detects HIV-1??
Yeah thats confusing me. I called 2-3 labs and manufactures. All says they are using 2nd gereration elisa and It detect both HIV-1 and HIV-2.
They says It detect IgG antibody which developed whithin 6 to 8 weeks.
And Few labs didnot do elisa , they do EIA or CMIA.
