My ELISA Test Detect HIV-1 and HIV-2

In India every reputed Path using @nd gereration ELISA. I have talked to the pathology and they told me they use 2nd generation Elisa and it detect both HIV-1 and HIV-2.
AND they Use ""ELISA READER(automatic instruments)"" in test.

Which Kind of elisa is this:-
-Indirect ELISA
-Direct ELISA
-Sandwich ELISA
-Competitive ELISA ?????????????

They don't manufacture 2nd Generation ELISA tests anymore. They manufacture 3rd and 4th generation tests. When they did manufacture 2nd generation ELISA tests they only tested for HIV1.

Yes, 4th generation tests for antigens for HIV1 and antibodies for HIV1 and 2.

second generation tests only looks for hiv-1?? right bro?

Yeah thats confusing me. I called 2-3 labs and manufactures.  All says they are using 2nd gereration elisa and It detect both HIV-1 and HIV-2.

They says It detect IgG antibody which developed whithin 6 to 8 weeks.

And Few labs didnot do elisa , they do EIA or CMIA.
