Hey, I know you will say I didn't have a risk and I accept that. However, I tested at 26days post incident mainly for a piece of mind as I know anything is possible and the result was negative. I was tested using a duo test. The specialist with the state department assured me that these test are highly reliable and accurate, hence they use them statewide. He said that he concludes my results as conclusive however if I have concerns he'd be happy to test me again. I believe he was the one who actually drew my blood and ran the test with 24hrs because he saw how anxious I was. Nonetheless, I have now quit worrying and I'm going to kareoke tonight as I'm now convinced my symptoms are due to something else :) I want to conceive within the next year so this circumstance his sent me into over drive thinking that I may not be able to. *sigh* The human brain is one wicked machine lol
Our answer does not change. Again, you had no risk.
Hey everyone, I haven't gone to get tested yet (for a peace of mind), however the guy went and got tested yesterday (showed me the results) and his results were non-reactive. I know you will say I never had a risk in the first place (used a condom), however the medical issues I'm experiencing were very coincidental and scary. I am being sent to a urologist and having a ct scan of my kidneys/liver due to unknown urinary bleeding.
When the guy and I had sex he fingered me majority of the time (trying to stimulate my spot), is it possible he could've messed up something with my bladder? I am scared and confused because Idk what's going on. My doctor called today and said my vitals are good (including blood count) and from what he can see, there is no sign of an infection. However, there is blood in my urine.
Thanks for listening and helping me through this tough time guys :)
Your test will be negative as you had no risk
I definitely will. The wait is killing me but I have another week to before I can take duo test.
let us know how things turn out.
Ok thanks so much. I was told by the nurse that test would have been positive if my glands swelled. Doctors keep telling me my vitals are fine and blood count is good, just still worried. I have bad anxiety and this incident has only escalated the anxiety. I will get tested at the four week mark with an AGAB Elisa test.
at first thought condoms shouldnt be removed and reused .a new condom should be used after removal. but that being stated i would say that the cause of your symptoms sound like they would be more related to some thing other than hiv have you tried hhv6 it is a herpes virus that can cause mono like symptoms . also indigestion malaise sweats but usually only in a small percentage of people does it cause more severe drs dont test for these viruses because the body usually gains control of them and renders them harmless.the thing to keep in mind is that there are many other stds and stis .
most people blame there symptoms on hiv but as you will learn hiv is not contracted that easily.so in many cases anxiety from one symptom can cause you to make or amplify other symptoms where if you remained calm you might have none.so just keep in mind ebv and cmv hsv things like these are much more easy to transmit .but the good news is that they are fairly harmless and the symptoms usually subside fairly quickly.most people dont realize that they have it because they dont really test for it because it is generally harmless they say that 95%have one or more herpes virus.if you would like you can test for the most common stds to be safe but i wouldnt obcess with hiv.
give your self some time so your tests will be accurate and let us know how things turn out i am confidant that you will be negative.be well.
Also, I've developed spider veins not sure why. They're red, squiggly and on thighs and calves.
Please excuse my misspellings as I was eager to get this out.
