Not using condom but using lubricant

Hello,

I had a sex partner with whom, we had a sex a month ago. That time, she didn't use condoms and just applied some lubricant/cream/gel on penis. As of now I don't have any symptoms  as I have been looking through lot of websites but her HIV status were unknown to me. I just read some question about not using condom but using lubricant and they just replied that lubricants are also safe to use to reduce the risk of HIV ? is it true ? what kind of lubricant should be used if above is true ? ..

Actually I didn't see the lubricant..but I think it was white color. What are my chances of getting expolsed to virus ?

Please help,
Jeff.

Can ...Pruritus be one of the symtoms..

I have question about my sex experience again..!!

(1) She was a sex worker from Las Vegas and she applied only lotion on my penis..I don't remember that we used condom. ... She pulled my penis's head skin..and applied lotion.. I got some pain when she pull my skin..and then we had viginal sex..Actually I had 2-3 Protected  sex encounter before I had this unprotected sex..!

does..pulling skin on penis would get more chances of having HIV infection ?? I know most of the sex workers are using condoms..but I am now wondering why didn't she used it..and I was not in condition to think this at the time..that is my fault..

It had encounted before 37-39 days..and I don't have any smptoms except this pruritus coming on my skin..since last 1-2 days...!! I am too much in tension..so they said it could be skin reaction too..!!   I consulted one of the stress/tension consultant and he said..that may be I started feeling this itching feeling since I had gone to HIV tests...

I am not seeing any red mark..it's just itching ..sometimes..and not even all the times..

I am getting tensed..

(1) .I want to know what are my chances of getting infacted..!!

(2) what's the % number of people showing symptoms ..or showing test positive within 1st month ?? is this ratio very high or very low..??

(3) If I have upcoming test negative..can I consider retest in 1 month again ?

what are my chances in this case..Please help...!!

So this means...I will not be sure for almost 6 months..and I will have to be in this fear of HIV infection. Is there any test which can detect this for sure at early stage ( After suspected infection of 1 month )..

Please help...thanks for helping me out..!!

No it doesn't diagnose HIV period,it's a monitoring test. People that have a normal CD4 count and an undetectable viral load does not mean they are HIV negative. Use the proper test at the correct time.

I understood..but this test would detect the hiv virus existance in the body.!! I read this on following article. If this test helps detect virus at early stage, I am thinking for that.

please help

thanks,
Jeff.

Viral Load tests are not used in diagnosing HIV. They are used to monitor those that are HIV positive for HIV progession as to how well their medication is or is not working.

so do u mean...1 out of 100 people would have HIV..and You can find only 1 case transmission out of 1000 cases of sex with HIV positive ?

I am really getting nervous..please reply ..Would viral load test help..if my hiv antibody test is coming -ev..?

Anyone that is not in a monogamous relationship, doesn't know the other persons status, needs to test. Not only for HIV but other STD's. Use condoms correctly and consistently and you won't have a risk of contracting HIV and most STDs.

I had just one encounter on 23rd March 09...but don't have any synmptons yet...I am so confused..I had just given blood in morning..and doctor said that even if you have sex with HIV positive..it's not always true that u get infected ??

is it true again ??

My next question would be ::

Just wondering what are the % rate of people who are showing symptoms at very beginning.  Please help,

Thanks,
Jeff
