Hi
I had a 4th generation antibody test test at 27 days or 28 . It was negative. From the clinic they advised me that this test was conclusive . Do you think I should move on and forget about it ?
Chances are very small. However, you own test at the end of the window period matters most.
you mean that if she had been infected the last 2 months . I understand . But what are the possibilities ; She assured me that she had,not a dangerous encounter , she took the test immediately , and if that happened ( the last 2 months ) from the encounter I had with her the chances are , from what I read 1/1000.
I agree with you and I test again in a month . but what are the chances ?
thank you again for your time and your support
Depending on the test taken, she still might be in the widow where it might not show on a specific test but still able to infect.
since we both tested negative , how it is possible for the test to be differnt ?
You should wait until the end of the specified window period, for the test to be considered conclusive
hi again
the lady and me we both got tested ( earlier than we should due to the incident ) and we both got negative results regarding hiv and other std's .
do you recommend to get tested again in 6 weeks time ? Thank you for your support
Can't really speculate on odd because each case is different.
Yes one time encounters do infect people.
thank you for the answer
what are the odds ? in some sites it seems that for the insertive partner can be up to 1/162
is it possible . are you aware of other people infected like this from one encounter
thank you
You have had a risk. The risk is lower for the insertive partner, but it is risky for both. Take a DUO test at 28 days.
