Persistent folliculitus on scalp, have encounter with csw

Hi Doctor,

I have protected sex with a csw in indonesia last year and was very anxious about it. After 5.5 month exposure, I have general blood tests and  blood tests for HSV, HIV, syphilis, all come out negative. The HIV test i took is 4th gen.  I have high cholesterol.

Now, I have a problem with scalp Folliculitis for 3 months. I have on and off 1 to 3 pus filled bumps on my scalp and itchy scalp too. Sometimes, i can have none at all.The first Dermatologist prescribed me Cefixime, Erymed and Desolex ointment. it does not heal and seem to make it worse. after a month, the second doctor gave me flucoral and her own shampoo and it is still there. swab test for bacteria after two months with results staphylococcus non koagulase. I am afraid of other underlying issues.

I have general blood tests and  blood tests for infectious diseases including HIV, all come out negative. I have high cholesterol.

1. Is the HIV result definitive?
2. Is the folliculitus related to HIV?

Thank you very much

1. Yes, so it is time to move on from HIV fixation.

2. See 1, and stay connected with your doc if you need medical treatment as we can't diagnose you from here.
