Pin prick attack

I've read about people running around city centres across Europe injecting unsuspecting people with aids. Also people getting injected with aids in nightclubs, cinemas, phone boxes.

What are the odds of being infected if this happens to someone. Are there any stats available?!

The reality is that people do not go around carting HIV infected needles poking people. To believe otherwise is delusional and requires major psychological evaluation for these delusions. I strongly suggest you find yourself a psychiatrist who specializes in unrealistic phobias to get over this problem you have with distinguishing reality from fantasy.

I agree, this is a totally irrational thought process and requires professional help if it's something you're worrying about a lot.

I will add, that superficial pokes with a needle seldom ever lead to infection anyway.  It would have to be a large bore needle, with a LOT of blood, and a significant injury to even cause the slightest of risks.

You misunderstood.   What I am saying is that the chances of you getting pricked by an HIV-infected needle are, in reality, non-existent. (This was one incident that happened 22 years ago) If this is an incident that you honestly fear happening to you, then you probably have anxiety - it is NOT in any way a realistic HIV transmission concern.

Last few paragraphs of this article. If you are injected with a HIV needle you're trying to say there's nearly no chance of getting HIV?! Sounds absolutely ridiculous thing to say to be honest!!

Well, I have also read that Princess Diana is alive and living on an island, and that Elvis can be found singing in Brazilian nightclubs.  Unless you can point to a credible source, this simply isn't true.

Even if it happened to someone somewhere (and it probably has happened to SOMEone), your chances of getting HIV this way are about the same as getting struck by lightning while you're on your way to redeem your jackpot-winning national lottery ticket for the second week in a row.  In other words, this is not something that anyone should waste time being concerned about.

That is 100% an urban legend and it's no more true than the Bigfoot legend or whatever other nonsense people try to scare people with. It's such a stupid myth that I can't believe people actually think its true!

That is urban legend and we don't discuss such hypotheticals.
