Significant Risk condom break?

I was having sex with a good friend and the condom broke. It was about 5 min into the sex when it broke and I think he must have felt it right away because he pulled out and told me and asked for another one. Anyway, I was tested at the 7 week mark in Europe and was negative, on the off chance that I have something (super unlikely - ill find out tuesday) what are the chances he might have caught it, and vice versa? Does this merit more testing on my behalf?

You had condom failure and a risk is a risk,a 7 week negative is an excellent result, just follow up at 12 weeks for a final test. You have been assessed as having a risk, whether it's high or low makes no difference, you just have to test for a conclusive result. All the best.

You were protected until the condom failed. You would be on the lower end of a high risk exposure.

Yes, 3 months. I was hoping to assess risk rather than know when to be tested.

I understand that, I'm rather OCD and quite worried about it though, so I was hoping to find out if it is considered high risk or low risk or medium risk - for both parties... Just to assuage my lifelong fears. I will take him to get tested with me after tuesday, once I'm sure I have nothing more serious to discuss with him.

HIV is not a guessing game. You can obtain your conclusive test result 3 months post expost exposure. Why don't you take your friend with you to test?
