To vance that article u read. What ending up happening did the person have it cuz I heard pcr and rna have false postives
what about anti body test at 1 day shy of 5 weeks neg? also had a dna by rt pcr test sais neg. any body know how good they are. i know not approved bt fda but are they relyable at all. thanks
There is only diagnostic test is an antibody test. Simple as that and it is conclusive at 3 months.
I read in this forum someone testing positive on a rna pcr test at 51/2 week while testing negative on the ELISA(antibody test).
would this apply to just an antibody test or p24 tests.
3 months is conclusive
a negative test at 6 weeks is not going to change to positive.
The Dr's in the expert forum.
what is your sources for the stats of 90%.
6 month testing is a myth. 3 months is all you need.
1 month is about 90%.
i know 3 months would be conclusive even possibelly 6 months since about less than 1 or 2 percent can test positive afterward. But how assuring is 1 month?
It is confusing, 3 mth is conclusive....but some docs day that 6 weeks is 95% accurate and 8 weeks is 98-99% accurate. I think of it like getting my oil changed, which might sound silly, but they tell you 3000 miles or 3 mths. Well we know your car won't blow up after that time and it can actually go longer, but its precautionary to make sure it stays in good condition. While a test may or maynot be accurate in most people from 4-8 weeks, its still CDC using extra precaution to make sure everyone is covered.
