Teak and LIZZIE LOU,
Maybe you are not waiting me to say this, But I truly feel that you are just great and wonderful persons because you are answering critical questions and your words make many people relieved.
OK, I understand that there is no risk for HIV through kissing...lip cuts or not, and I read (
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV-Prevention/Chapped-Lips-kiss/show/582861).
My last three questions are as follows:
1) I have done some research and I found out about Palatine Torus, This is a condition with the roof of the mouth where the bone is slightly lumpy causing the gum to be a bit thinner. It is a common occurrence. If a person has one it can cause undetectable ulcers just from eating, and dentists say this is a possible cause of transmission.
So, Do you think open mouth kissing with lips that have cuts could cause HIV infection considering the possibility that some unnoticeable blood might by involved (From the lips to the lips OR from the lips to the Palatine Torus) ?
2) Do I need to get tested for HIV ?
3) Why on earth there are many medical websites and forums (Which they supposed to educate people) are literally stating that there is a risk of HIV transmission through kissing if lips have cuts ?
P.S. Please forgive me, I am really terrified and I am trying my hardest to keep anxiety under control.
last time...you had NO risk and do NOT need testing.
