I had some symptoms like sore throat and And what looks like oral thrush with bumps on my tounge that hurt. Im going to go back now at 45 days and in terrified. Thanks for all response.. btw it was one time unprotected vaginal Intercourse but i had a cut on my penis from a rough handjob.

Hey Teak I just wanted you to know that I tested out to three months because of you, Weather it was a good or bad thing I can't say it did cause me a lot of worry and stress but I guess that's its good to be safe and make sure. So would you say that I have a Conclusive HIV negative no further testing needed? Thanks for taking you time to talk to people on this website I got to admit I didn't like you for a while because I read the doctors on this site say the 6 weeks is a very good indicator and 8 weeks means your in the clear, but I'm glad that I had the final 3 month test since it is the guideline. Take care

Your pain medication would not have an affect on your test results.

Got my 15 week results Non reactive! I had a little worry about whether my use of Pain killers such as percocets or lorecets would effect test results but I think im in the clear now and can consider myself hiv negative!

3 months post exposure is when you can obtain your conclusive negative test result.
