if the condom stayed intact then you are fine. symptoms mean nothing as everybody will tell you and most times you read that they start 2-4 weeks and they last for 2 weeks.
My advice is to test at three months after possible exposure, and to practice safe sex in the future. Symptoms can not really be used to determine your status because they may -or- may not occur at all after infection has taken place, even in those individual who later test positive for hiv. If you test negative you should reconsider the risk(s) you are taking with your health. You will eventually test positive if you don't make a better effort-no offense, just some straight talk.
Thank You chapeau and aak.
I guess all I can do is to pray for a negative result after 3 months.
I will probably not gonna have anymore sex for very very long time and I will make better effort for a safe sex in the future if it do occur.
You were never at risk of contracting HIV. Disregard chapeau comments he's been reported to MedHelp.
It started at 28 three years ago.
Shenhua,
I though your question stated unprotected anal intercourse, so take this into account in my reply.
Teak
Thank you, I have question how conclusive is 2 weeks test?
I have read your profile, I was surprised you lived with HIV for 24 years.
You are a great person, I hope you can live another 24 years. :-)
chapeau
It's ok, it happens.
It's not conclusive at all. Most people that have had a risk will test positive by 6-8 weeks. A conclusive test is 3 months post exposure. You were never at risk of contracting HIV and don't need any further testing.
thanks
I will probably going to have another test next week or so, just want to make sure.
Shenhua,
I just made a post related to protected intercourse. Testing based on how active you are is also recommended by the CDC. Very active individuals should test every 6 months, others who are moderately active but also change partners frequently, should also test once annually. If cost is an issue, there are sites that offer free of nominal fees for those who can not afford them
It was my first sex experience.
Cost is not an issue for me.
I think it is free at the local health department and it costs about 20 or less from my school
Yeah, again, based on your experience, there is really no need to test unless you need piece of mind, especially if this was your FIRST sexual experience. It does not really work like that unless you want it to, you practiced safe sex, your good.
I forgot to mention, I gave someone oral sex.
Would that increase the chance of HIV
Also, he did not *** in my mouth.
The oral sex didn't lasted very long
I read that in your post, my response addressed this..
You were not at risk from giving head as long as you didn't recently have oral surgery or meth mouth.
I've check my gum and theres not sores or bleeding in my mouth.
also used mouth wash afterward instead of tooth brush.
GEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ are you for real???????? get over it
can you guys decribe the symptom of muscle ache?
it is like after you work out at the gym really sore when you move??
You didn't have a risk Shen...Your mouth was healthy as you've already said and even if it wasn't there still would be nothing to lose sleep over. Move over to the anxiety forum or seek help from a mental health professional if you still can't let it go.
Hi, everyone.
I know you guys said I have no risk.
But today after I took a nap, right side of my throat start to sore again. It doesn't really hurt, I just can feel it when I drinking water.
My cough is pretty much gone.
You can feel your throat when you drink water... Wow.
