HIV or Genital Herpes

Hi,i'm 27 years old male, well i had unprotected sex manytimes but never with prostitute , recently i have a girlfriend and we've been together for 3 months, first time we had sex it was in 22nd of may 2011 as i remember well and it was unprotected,  i haven't noticed any symptoms since then, but 10 days ago we had sex after that i noticed a small red pimple on my pubic area while i was shaving and it burned i thought its from shaving so i forgot about it, the day after i saw my girl and we had sex but during intercourse it hurted me so i stopped and i noticed another sore pimple popped out and slight pain when swallowing the next day so i decided to see a doctor, i went to an std provider " doctor" and she checked out my pubic area and first she thought i have syphilis so she wanted me to make a blood test and i did, the day after i went back there and the results came out negative and she told me that it might be herpes so now my test also was included hiv 1 and hiv 2 !! and i have to go back in 15 days , currently i have 4 to 6 open sores, 2 on the shaft and 4 on my pubic area and they itch alot and painful as well with redness around  also painful swollen glands in my groin, i'm so confused is this genital herpes or initial hiv symptoms?  i have anxiety most of the time and i cant sleep as well please help me with some information?

i mean should i be worried that i contracted something like "HIV" for her except HSV? i told you my symptoms, results, my current relationship and my lifestyle .. i'm afraid it may be its false negative or the test didn't detect the virus yet ??

so i still have only ONE chance of getting the virus through my girlfriend only IF she is positive, because my last exposures before my gf  were 5 months ago.  i'm i right in this point??

do you recommend doing another test ??

the symptoms that you describe have nothing to do with hiv.

a test done 3 months post your LAST unprotected intercourse will give you a reliable and conclusive result.

Dear Lizzie,,,,   i appreciate your kind replay but i have certain issues here i need you to help me out with them,,,,

i know that and this will never happen, i dont care about sex as much as i used to , and
actually i dont think i would be able to take anymore tests cause my anxiety got the best of me.

the issues are as the following ..

exposure means any possible way to contract the virus right???  so having symptoms
doesn't mean exposure, but it means that i contracted something " throught exposure" right???

my last question is would my fist exposure with my girfriend 3 months ago make it accurate for the test however i got my first symptoms 3 weeks ago ,,

the picture for me now is my test has nothing to do with my symptoms or my first  exposure and that really freaks me out cause i still have hard nodes in my groin but not painfull as before,,,

should i make another test or should i take the results as they are ,,,,

i told you my first exposure with ONLY my girlfriend was 3 months ago and the symptoms 3 weeks ago test results today are negative???? any help ??

it is HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHLY unlikely that your test result will change in the next couple of weeks.

test at 3 months for that conclusive result...expect a negative ! !

once again:

UNTIL you are in a monogamous relationship where both of you have tested...ALWAYS use condoms for penetrative vaginal / anal penetration.    sex lasts a few minutes...HIV LASTS A LIFETIME ! ! ! ! !

a two and a half month negative result is very unlikely to change. But the 3 month mark is the golden rule for a conclusive result. Take the test and get it over with. Hopefully, it'll be ok.

HELLO GUYS...

i got the results today for syphilis again and HIV 1 EIA, HIV 2 EIA and all are negative thank god, but the hsv i'll take the results in two days.

i'm just wondering how accurate are they for HIV EIA tests???

my last encounters in the past 6 months were as the following:

in MARCH i had two, one of them was protected, that means approximately 5 months before the test was made,

in MAY 27th was my first exposure with my recent girlfriend that means 2 months and a half before the test was mad,

now my first symptom as i mentioned before appeared in 9th of august that means after about two months and a half after my first encounter with my girlfriend,

the test was made in the middle of august but my first encounter i told you was in may,  and by the way all the symptoms gone except the glands of my groin i can still feel them hard but not painfull and swollen like before.

Sorry, you did say in your Original Post that you have been tested for hiv 1 and 2,just be patient and wait for your results.Symptoms don,t diagnose hiv a test taken at 3 months post your last unprotected exposure does. All the best

NO

swollen lymph nodes due to ars are not localized to one area...they are generalized.  they are not painful.

the sores have nothing to do with hiv.

you're absolutely right, but i have one more question. are these symptoms that i described to you "itching, pain, redness sores, swollen glands in the groin" related to any of hiv symptoms i mean early symtoms? and what is the possibility ...

Thanks Again.

Then just wait for your results and from now on always use protection, you should have said that in the first place that you have already tested for hiv,we aren,t mind readers here.
