Touching used plunger + fecal matter contact.

Hi, recently.. A toilet at my aunts house became clogged. Long story short the plunger I was using had broken (it hadnt been used in a few weeks), and so I had to hold the bottom suction head part down with my hand as I plunged the toilet, which, had a small piece of my fecal matter in it. I made sure to wash my hands with soap and hot water (being the germaphobe I am, I washed them atleast a dozen times). Is it possible I could still get Hepatitis A/HIV/an STD from doing this with my bare hands?.. (I didnt have gloves).

Depends on the soap, but some organisms are destroyed by handwashing, yes.

For one, HIV is not found in feces.

Thank you, should I worry about other bacteria infections though such as Ecoli and etc?. .

You washed your hands, so you have nothing to worry about.  Tell your aunt to buy a new plunger.  :0)

Not an HIV concern. HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
