Reassurance

Hi dr. Handsfield,
You have helped me a few times before, and I have been working on keeping it in my pants. But the other day I had an urge and met a guy online and met up with him. All we did was masterbate together with no touching ( I was just standing over him while he was on couch) I know this is probably really dumb question I just need reassurance. Even though we didn't touch, had there been a chance some semen was transferred to me. I found out he is HIV + but he said he's undetectable, am I at any risk what so ever?
Thanks

Yes they would. Yes you cant contract it outside the host. Its needs a protected enviornment to be at risk.

Thank you,
Do you think the medical experts would agree I had absolutely no risk what so ever also?
Does semen infected with HIV or any std for that matter die when exposed to oxygen, and that's why you can't contract anything from it outside of living host?

A person needs to know about risk of hiv transmission and its from unprotected vaginal/anal insertive sex, sharing iv drug needles and mother to child. Your exposure does not fit these risk assessment catogories.

Thank you, I think I knew that answer but needed to hear it from someone else. I tried to post in expert forum but said they weren't accepting any right now.
Life360 do you have a lot of experience with HIV research?
Thanks
