Truth

My question is do UK brothels always tell the truth? The CSW I slept with yesterday told me she was clean and convinced me as did the man who owned the place. Is there any chance they would lie? Does this happen?

The worker was an East African from the Ivory Coast - does this change anything?

That,s right,if a condom is used correctly and it doesn,t break then your safe.

Thanks again getitright. When I use the term failed I don't mean break but just "not work" - as in not protect me from disease. Can that happen?

As in can we honestly say if we went round the world having sex with everyone infected, as long as we wore a condom and it didn't break we would DEFINITELY be ok?

If the condom failed you it would have been obvious, and if Hiv didn,t become inactive as soon as it was exposed to air then the whole world would have Hiv,Thank God it,s so fragile outside the body. You don,t qualify for nPEP anyway. It,s only pescribed for people who have had a known high risk exposure with an Hiv positive person, you had no risk.

Thank you, I just don't want the worst to happen and then not regret taking PEP. I think I am more anxious about the fact this was a foreign sex worker from Africa and the stigma that goes with that but I guess I have to keep believing the condom didn't fail me and any virus became inactive in air.

You never had a risk, your sex was protected and also hiv becomes inactive and therefore unable to infect as soon as it is exposed to air.No testing required and no doctor in their right mind would pescribe nPEP for this incident.

Thank you diver58.

Do you feel I should take PEP? I had protected sex. But is there any chance of people being "more infected" if that makes sense? This was a sex worker from the ivory coast is there any possiblity she was very contagious with HIV and any fluids I may have touched and then touched my penis may have caused infection? As though it was protected, there was a point when I touched the condom and then touched my penis.

When dealing with serious matters related to our lives, we should not believe in workds. Always remain careful and never forget to use protection when it comes to penetrating sex. HIV does not have any symptom visible from anyone's face.  If you get involved in unprotected sex with anyone of an unknown status, risk is there and need to be tested after three months mark
