blood in the food

hello. can someone answer this question for me.

I went out to eat on friday night and finished eating my food and drinking my drink. after i finished I then went to the bath room and cleaned my mouth out, there was little bit of blood from my mouth in the sink when i spat out the water. if this was blood from the food i ate, would this be a rish for HIV if I had a cut in my mouth? Would any HIV blood die fast once outside the body and inside hot food?

About a week ago I went to fast food restuarant and ordered food, I can't remember if I ate any of the fries before getting back to my office but once I did get back I sat down ate a frie or two and then noticed there was a frie in the box that had some red specks on it. I took a napkin and rubbed the spot to see what it was and a light red color came off of it. I'm a little freaked out that I may have eaten a tainted frie and if I did that I might get something from it am I crazy or shoud I be concerned?

Since you are obviously convinced that someone dripped blood in your food, rather than the obvious answer that your own gums were bleeding, you have things in your life to work on.

forget it, no risk, did the cook come out of the kitchen and pour blood down your throat, learn how hiv is tranmitted.

has there ever been a case where someone was infected in such a way? with eating food that may contain hiv blood? or even a case of someone getting blood directly in their mouth from an hiv person?

when hiv is exposed to the air...it is almost immediately inactive.

and if blood was swallowed, would it be a risk or would it be killed by stomach acids?

my question is if blood entered my mouth and came in contact with an open bleeding gum or mouth cut, any risk?

Oh, for crying out loud.

Lets step back a second.  You had a bleeding gum issue that day.  You went out and had food and drink.  You went to the restroom to clean out your mouth and spat out a bit of blood.

What is the most likely thing to have happened?

1. You stirred up a bit of bleeding in your gums from eating.
2.  Someone in the kitchen stood over your food and spat, dripped, or spewed blood into it?

If you think the MOST LIKELY THING to have occured is #2, then you are not thinking clearly.

Hi. I am freaking out a little, again.

I had a bleeding gum on and off the day I went out to eat, if blood was in the food and got it in my mouth where the bleeding was, would this be a risk for hiv? the food was laying on the table for about 15 mins before I ate it. Also the food was pretty hot.

Once out of the body hiv blood can't infect?
