brief unprotected anal insertion

Hi there,

2 weeks ago I had an encounter with a guy where I had placed my penis on his *** hole and then proceeded to kiss him.  While kissing him, he pushed into me and my penis entered him.  I was in him for about 5-10 seconds, then I pulled out.  There was no "thrusting" at all.  After that, I put on condom before continuing.  He told me he is HIV- and tested recently.  I do not have sores or stds on my penis that I know of.

I will definitely get tested, but I am wondering how worried I should be.  How risky was this encounter?  Because it was brief and I did not actually do any "thrusting" (and thus causing friction and bleeding), would that mitigate the risk?

Thanks!

Test at 6 weeks with a p24 combi test and then again at 3 months.

Sorry didn,t see the negative next to the hiv which means he told you he was negative, all the same its a risk and requires testing. You have already been told when you can receive your conclusive result and my appologies for having misread your question. All the best.

I don't see anywhere that the OP states his partner was positive?

You had a risk, no matter if it was brief or not.  Test based on the guidelines and remember to always protect yourself with condoms each and every time!

You can test 3 months post exposure and obtain your conclusive test result.

You had a high risk exposure with a known hiv positive person and really should have considered nPEP,its a bit late for that now but test at the 6 week mark for an indication as to where you are at.Take a duo test that looks for both p24 antigen and antibodies.Good Luck.

It's to late to worry. You can test 3 months post exposure and obtain your conclusive test result.
