Low platelet count and HIV status?

I (male) had 2 incidences of unprotected vaginal sex with my girlfriend. I am unsure about her HIV status, so I am a little bit worried.
She mentioned that two years ago she was hospitalized for 3 weeks due to platelet count below 50,000. They ran several blood tests, CT, and bone marrow biopsy. After a few blood transfusions, she was healthy again and went about her normal life. My question is: would they have checked for HIV status in those several blood tests?

If you are unsure of tour gf's status, YOU test. It is always wise to to use condoms outside a monogamous relationship. Better still, BOTH of you take tests if you want to start a relationship. Whether the hospital would have done tests or not is not relevant. Take an ag/ab test at 6 weeks after last exposure and a 12th week ab test to conclude. Be well.
