difference between duo and combo
what is the difference? is it just the terminology? can someone explain. thank you. :)
The DUO test cannot distinguish between HIV1 and HIV2 and it does test for antigens for HIV1 plus antibodies and only antibodies for HIV2. Combo only tests antibodies for HIV1 and HIV2.
correct me if im wrong, a combo test is just an antibody test then? because some duo test promoted by UK websites are saying the duo test can test HIV 1/2 Ab and P24 hiv-1 Ag.
