Hi, i tested today - 15 weeks - 3.5 months for HIV 1 & 2, by ELISA..
got negative..
any posiblties to seroconvert later...??? shud i retest at 6 months??
well some ppl are wrong.
if you are not going through chemotherapy...taking anti-rejection drugs following an organ transplant...or a CHRONIC, LONG TERM iv drug abuser...then 3 months post exposure IS reliable and conclusive.
test at 3 months.
this forum is hiv specific. if you have further questions regarding other stds...please post in the std forum.
plz dont get tensed..am asking due to my death fear mam...
1. some people say hiv test can turn positive even after 180 days...is it tru?
2. For checking for STD, what test shud i do..
Avonelle, Teak or somebody sugestion also expected..
ars symptoms come at 2-4 weeks post infection...not 9 weeks.
go back and re-read what you've been told. a test at 9 weeks is very unlikely to change ! ! !
thank u mam...expect more persons opiniom..
Mam, that was the first day i drunk & first time am touching a girl...
due to the alcohol capacity, i dint mistake..wont drink or sex with CSW again..
my doubt is whether initial symptoms or rashes aprear after 9 weeks?
If i want to test for STD's what test can i do....kind reply plz..
sounds like you must of been quite drunk! a test after 9 weeks is highly accurate but you could always test at 3 months if you want to do the conclusive test. Although nothing happend this time i would say dont have unprotected sex again, especially with prostitute becuase HIV can happen when you do that and even if it doesnt you will probably suffer weeks of anxiety again about a possible infection.
it is highly unlikely that your 9 week negative test result will change. test at 3 months for that conclusive result.
if alcohol allows you to make such bad decisions like having unprotected sex with a prostitute...you might want to "rethink" drinking ! ! !
