lymph nodes after a cold and hiv
hello it is 75 days now that i live in a complete paranoia, but specially in the last 2 weeks my life is beeing a nightmare. On the 26th of january i had an incident on the train beeing picjked by a forgotten needle (i guess infected as there was blood in it) i had been tested for hiv at 40 days and the result was negative, 2 weeks ago i had a strange cold with a mild soar throat no feaver , for a day i nearly completely lost my voice and then all appeared to go back to normal, but the night before sleeping i noticed a peanut sized lymph node on the side of my neck (it cant be seen but just touching the neck you can feel it), it didnt hurt, it is mobile and tender...and as you may imagine i went in complete paranoia, i still have a very mild caugh from time to time but probably it is realated to the weather, visited the doctor that didnt appear very much concerned and gave me a 6 days antibiotic treatment , but the node is still there, so i visited him again didnt give me any treatment just told me that it is normal to have these nodes swollen in this period specially after a cold so not to be worry and it will turn back to normal in a couple of weeks, and anyhow to do the test at 100 days and then after 6 months ...but how can i resist till the 5 th of may ???? it was better for me not to do any reaserch on internet as now i am convinced to have HIV.... then googling found this forum that i think is very comprehensive and less complicated...now do you think i have serious reasons to think i might have hiv ???? sory for my grammar as i am writting from Italy ...Ciaoo and thank you...

Stop googling, guess work and too much of thinking about "forgotten: needle. This is not the way HIV transmit. Seek professional medical help.
This has nothing to do with ARS symptoms, ARS symptoms are visible only after 2-3 weeks of infection and never after that,
your 40 days result is quite encouraging,
Just relax these Lymph nodes are not due to HIV.
go and test after 13 weeks for conclusive negative results..
