Late seroconversion because of needle?

Here is my story- in the early morning of March 3rd 2012 I foolishly allowed a friend to shoot me up with molly with a needle she had used already. I have never done this before or since. She had unprotected sex 3 weeks prior with her ex who is a drug user and has shot up many times. She felt sick 2 weeks later and went to the dr who told her she had chronic epstein barr (she claims she has been diagnosed with ot before as well) I never had ars symptoms but I Remember my boyfriend getting the flu for I think like 2 days in the spring and from what I can recall he experienced all the symptoms of ars. I didn't think much of it but earlier this month I noticed my one arm was feeling sore and I was concerned but thought it was from my new waitressing job maybe. Then my armpits felt sore for a few days and that got me really anxious. I have been freaking myself out majorly thinking I have this disease and more so that I gave it to my partner. I tested negative for both HIV and HEP from my test on July 13 2012 (19 weeks after exposure) but I am concerned about possible delayed seroconversion. I've read and been told so many different things I don't know what to believe. Please help me out as best as you can..I'm a 20 year old college student with no where to turn and I can't get myself out of this depression.

Have there been any cases of people with normal immune systems waiting this long to seroconvert for any reason? I feel so guilty and just anxiety about my exposure and I will retest at 6 months for more of a peace of mind but I don't know if i can wait another 3 1/2 weeks being this anxious without some reassurance by those who truly know about this and the accuracy of testing

I just want to finally get over this and go back to living my life without this huge burden and worrying.

That's exactly what you should do, starting now.  You've already spent enough time and energy worrying about this. You have scientific PROOF that you were not infected.

I accidentally selected the one answer as best answer, all of them are appreciated. I understand through my research that 6 months is outdated and that 3 months is conclusive..but is there any reason that someone would test negative around the time I did (19 weeks) but not seroconvert until after? I am just concerned because I never experienced ars or anything and synptoms of my friend and boyfriend mirror ars but I did have some of the symptoms shortly before/during the time of testing. I hate to be this anxious and I don't want anyone to get upset with my questions I just know how risky that behavior was and then seeing symptoms in those that would have been infected as well really scares me. I just want to finally get over this and go back to living my life without this huge burden and worrying. I also tested negative for HEP

Reread the answers I gave you in the PM.  I understand that this has caused you anxiety, which is actually a good thing, because this could have ended up very badly for you...so consider it a learning lesson.

Also, please be sure you are tested for Hepatitis,if you haven't already.  You would have been at risk for Hep C and B as well.

Hi Chloe,
Congratulation on your Negitive results. Any test for HIV Antibodies after 90 days is Conclusive. You do not have HIV. This experience will teach you not reuse Needles and to use protection if you do not know your partner too well. Seroconversion will happen with in 6 weeks (conservative numbers) usually 2-4 weeks after exposure not beyond. You test is conclusive proof you are -Ve from this episode.
