pregnant&freakinout

Hi everyone i need some kind of a support.
I had a bf about 2 yrs. ago for about 4 intercourse{viginal and oral} then broke up after 3 weeks and never seen him again.then I met a new bf and now married with him and 20 weeks pregnant. prior to these 2 relationship I had STD about 3 yrs. ago and got cured right away.{chlamydia}.
To make the long story short, all pregnant woman should be tested for hiv for prenatal care. I am just too paranoid b/c the risk of having std is higher. They send me to test for HIV on 4/01/09 and its been 2 weeks now, my doctor or the clinic never call me for the result. I am too scared to call and find out if it came + or -. do you guys know if they will call me if the result is done? it says i will find out the result within 2 weeks period time. and yesterday was the 2nd week. I am too stress and cant concentrate in everything i do. I never had any symptoms or anything but just got the dillemma of having std before and dont know what my result would turn. you think they should've called me by then if it came out +? I know some dr. offices dont call you if there is nothing wrong. PLS HELP!! i'm stressing myself too much.

"Lets all be careful though with the new virus SWINE Virus. Thank You! "

When the media gets a hold of something...they cause mass hysteria in people.  It's sad.

There are SOOO many communicable (community acquired) diseases out there that are SO much more prevalent and much easier spread....they just don't get the news coverage.

Relax!! Stress is not good for pregnancy, so better go and ask your doctor about the result instead of waiting for next visit, it would make you feel comfortable.

If it was + then definitely they would had called you for consultation.. so don't worry it would be fine..

i dont have the guts to call. i guess i am just gonna wait til my next visit to the dr.s office on april 27. But if it came + they are not going to wait til i see them right? they are going to call me before to run another test if it came +? I am certain that I HOPE, there is nothing wrong with me. this is the 1st time i visit this website and i like it. I feel like i am learning so much how to prevent HIV/AIDS. I am probably more worried of the people around me discriminating you than having the disease. I dont know though but it is still scary.

If it has been two weeks call your doctor. It might be the test results are just not in.

If you don't hear from you, it should certainly mean all OK. They would definitely have called you otherwise. In my country, Lab people only call us when they find any serious abnormality in results reported and want a re run or advise us to consult the doctor immediately. So calm down, and relax, nothing wrong with you.
