take it to the hiv anxiety community forum...a link is provided at the bottom right hand corner of this page.
you have a conclusive test result...this forum has nothing left to offer.
Hey bud. Its nice to hear that some other clinics tell their patients that because that was when I had my last test done. I would think that every clinic would have similar answers. I am having severe anxiety over this.
hi there 3 months is good i just did my test six months is good for people that have cancer and are in chemo usually if a person gets hiv is at 6 or 8 weeks after that u wont get it and my clinc here in maine says 14 weeks and u dont need any further testing done
If it is the guideline, y do they people the wrong thing. The lady even said they don't even say 100%. Is it bc of legal reasons? So there is no need for another test?
3 months post exposure is the guideline put in place by the manufacturers of the tests, the FDA and the CDC. this guideline has been in place since 2004.
there is no reason for you to keep asking about this.
Why does everyone I ask keep saying 6 months? I jus called my nearby health clinic and the nurse said 6 months is 100% and my 3.5 months is 97%. I made an appointment for MY FINAL TEST. I'm going to get a rapid blood test done since I can't bare waiting the results. Everyone is saying something different. It's only driving me more out of my mind!!! After the next test I will stop! I am praying it will be negative like the past two test.
Thanks lizze! So my results are conclusive and will not change past 3.5 months? A part of me felt like I had to keep testing until 6 months. I am finally accepting the doctor's advice to test no further. It was weighing heavy on my heart because I have baby and a fiance who I love so much and worried about their safety as well.
I'm sorry I meant to say positive after a 3.5 month negative.
