needles

Please answer my question..I already know its gonna sound crazy to some..so 2day I went for blood work and the tech had everything set up by time I went I nto the room..so I I asked her to use a butterfly needle and she said no because my veins were good..anyway she grabbed what I thnk was a straight needle.. I looked and she pulled a pink lever down drew my blood then flipped the pink piece back up..I never seen one of these needles so now my ocd is in effect...if she were to use the same needle on someone before me what would be the chances of getting hiv..saying the person before me had it...how much blood has to be in the bore of the needle...please answer this...may I add I was there to take an hiv test from an incident 3 months ago...thanks in advance

It IS something you can help....are you working with a mental health professional to manage the OCD?  Continuing to search the internet and post questions about your irrational OCD fueled worries isn't helping yourself, quite the contrary, it will fuel the anxiety terribly.

You do not have an HIV concern, as we've told you countless times.  I recommend that you post on our OCD forum, you'll see that you're FAR from alone, lots of people have OCD with fears centering around HIV.

You know it's your OCD so don't try to blame anything on anyone else. They do not reuse needles and syringes, that is your irrational thinking.
