a wound starts healing from the inside out within hours. just because the outer surface may appear open...doesnt mean the innermost layer is.
ok teak thanks.... was just curious about the open wound part because to me is where you can see the skin where there is a red part underneath and i had had stiches as i said a week before if you wouldnt mind telling me thats great if not many thanks for your help........i just dnt know why drs dont were gloves anymore.......however there were these gel things everywhere
Seek help with your phobias. You were never at risk.

ohh sorry it did not post with the other reply i just left i have got a large cut under the arm and have had stitches that was on the 9th oct and got the infection the friday after thats why i was so worried as i thought that was classed as a open wound teak i know you really do get pis@@d of with some replys but with you having that extra information would you say i am still at no risk? the stitches are there but white stuff with some blood is comming out

Because the scenario you described is not how HIV is transmitted - even if the nurse had it - which I'm sure she did not - because the disease is not nearly as widespread as people think.
It's called a sexually transmitted disease for a reason....
