Your 4 week negative is very reassuring. IF indeed your "symptoms" were HIV related, your test taken after the onset of the symptoms would most likely have been +.
We recommend testing until 3 months post exposure for a conclusive result. The odds are in your favor, and it looks like everything is going to turn out fine for you.
In the future, insist on condoms for any vaginal or anal sex.
