LOL yea i think we all know what it is and that it isnt a disease ngu, chlymydia, gonohrea, they are all infections but considered std or sti so dont sit here and say it isnt sexually transmitted and again why are you speechless about the statement you made about the oraquick study?
All NGU is an infection of the urethra. It's not a disease...
defintion of std= sexually transmitted disease if it can be passed sexually it is an std in the post you state "ngu is not an std" How can I get NGU?
Sexually: Most germs that cause NGU can be passed during sex (vaginal, anal or oral) that involves direct mucous membrane contact with an infected person. also the Seattle oraquick study where did you get your info from? please do not post FALSE info in my posts this isnt a game its my life
How can I get NGU?
Sexually: Most germs that cause NGU can be passed during sex (vaginal, anal or oral) that involves direct mucous membrane contact with an infected person.
Nonsexual: These causes of NGU may include: urinary tract infections, an inflamed prostate gland due to bacteria (bacterial prostatitis), a narrowing or closing of the tube in the penis (urethral stricture), a tightening of the foreskin so that it cannot be pulled back from the head of the penis (phimosa), the result of a process such as inserting a tube into the penis (catheterization),
Perinatal: During birth, infants may be exposed to the germs causing NGU in passage through the birth canal. This may cause the baby to have infections in the eyes (conjunctivitis), ears, and lungs (pneumonia
"The Seattle study had to do with testing BEFORE the recommend time." thats b.s. teak why are you making up your own theories no where on the study does it say the tests where all done before 3 months and i just got off the phone with one of the hiv specialists at harborview in Seattle where the study took place and they said that is b.s. that almost all the tests were taken outside the window period and not only that there was 133 false negatives so your saying they all tested in the window period? and now with this info i bet you are going to say they all lied about there exposure date blah blah blah please do not post false info and play with my life if anyone would like to know the truth about this study call 206-205-7837
Predisone will not affect your HIV test.
i have been sick for the last month cold/flu symptoms doctor gave my predisone steriod how long after taking this do i need to wait before i can take a hiv test?
Rapid test are very reliable if done at the 3 month exposure time as required. Rapid tests don't go by generation tags. If you tested 3 months post exposure then your test would be conclusive. The Seattle study had to do with testing BEFORE the recommend time.
Oraquick is a second generation test, as far as I know. I would not recommend taking it, because of the high rate of false positives. Rapid HIV testing are designed for special settings, they are not very useful for the general population.
no there are no updates why are you so worried over this>?
