pep or prep question and work exposure

Im on pep or prep I don't really know that difference i'm taking Truvada and Isentress for the last 17 days and today I got another possible exposure in the form of a needle stick injury, ive been so stressed I have not be able to work correctly and now have a panicing fear of hiv thinking I will step on needles or be stuck by some crazy person walking in the street. but back to my question, I have been taking this every day for 17 days should I not worry because im protected or should have to start all over from day 1 with a new batch of 28 day treatment so far I was sick to my stomach first few days but that passed after a week although my eyes hurt from time to time.

Man, i see you work in a hospital. And i think the best persons to give you advices are the doctors who put you on pep. There is no reason to try to find aswers over the internet in this particular case. ...Your chances to fontract hiv in this ways are very, very, very small. But i suggest you to direct your question to the doctors who precribe pep for you. By the New York Guidelines, wyou have to do a test 3 month post your last accident, to have a conclusive result. I think you are fine.

I work in a hospital and on the 4th of January I was there as really bad snow storm in ny on person fell to the ground and I picked them up they were bloody but I didn't notice It was cold out and my eye was tearing so I wiped It later I looked at my hand and noticed blood stains on it and then looked at my face that also had blood from wiping my eye I went to the er and they game me truvada and isentress and a week later the raining pills today I was working and got a needle stuck in me from a patient I transport the red bio cases for that has needles in them were I dispose of it. shortly afterwards I went home before the work day was over I know they will not test the needle in the hospital because they said they don't do forensics and the ID department was closed I have been very stressed since this all started and its becoming a major fear in my life in not going back to work and asking for a transfer.
