As alcohol is very volatile there wouldn't be much remaining on your finger when you took the blood sample, and any residue left would have absolutely no effect on your test results. It would take a lot more alcohol than that to denature the proteins in the sample.
The HA test would not be FDA approved if it were that easy to mess the test up. You are severely overthinking this.
I believe we're done here.
PLEASE CLARIFY AND THEN I WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE.
Teak-my bad-i didnt phrase that the way i wanted, not the dried blood sample itself, but the blood as your putting it on the sample card. ie if i had alcohol from the wipe on my hand could it contaminate the blood as i apply it to the special paper
No, it is not. I understand that. Not conclusive. Can alcohol or residue on your finger or exposure from air contaminate the dried blood sample?
Sorry I asked that. I know that. I am now more concerned about the other half of my question-can you please help with that?
Q: How soon do these antibodies show up?
A: In most infected people, the antibodies will show up in the blood within six weeks to 3 months.
Yes. I followed directions, i was reading about problems people reported on another website and just wanted to ask for an opinion
Did you read what it said about testing?
