i am from india.i developed some HIV symptoms after taking a injection(tetenus toxide).(mild fever, running nose, lymph nodes, muscle aches...)
i did the antibody test after 5 months and then again at 6 and half months. (they told me they use a third generation testing kit-Solid Phase Dot Immunuassay method).But i am still very confused.
is test after 6 and half months conclusive enough????please help ASAP....

you do not have hiv and need to move on with your life :)

ya i hv seen in ur forums many people come with acute symptoms and tests negetive in the end...actually here in India people are nt well enough knowlwgable with HIV....

Yes it a very very accurate test. You tested out past the window period. You can stop testing and enjoy life.

The stress of worrying about HIV can make your body do funny things. Your doctor said its not related. You tested and its a good accurate test. People who come here asking about symptoms are always told to test and not rely on symptoms because it could be something totally different. The health professional rely on testing only to rule out HIV. Seek out a some mental health care. Talking about it to someone may give you the comfort you seek. Good luck.

sry to distrb u once again...actually i have heard that in case of Acute infection the window period can be longer...actually i am so much worried about my symptoms...lymph nodes,skin infection,muscle pain, some genital problems, tweak in the muscle, irregular bowel movements,mouth thrush etc, though  the doctor told me its not relatd .can u please clarify??

hi...sometimes i feel worried about the symptoms...and over the last 7 months due to depression there are other symptoms as well.....
