rapid finger prick testing
Hi,
I recently got tested for hiv using finger prick test. The lady who tested wiped my finger with alcohol, and immediately pricked the finger and took the blood for testing. It was negative.
The instructions say that you should allow the alcohol to dry and wipe away the first drop and then use the second drop for testing. Since the lady used the first drop without allowing the alcohol to dry, are my test results invalid?

Test should be fine. If you have a problem then go back to the testing place or call them.
Hi, i think if they did not follow the instructions there would be doubt. Go back and tell her this. Good point.
